DSC is a certified woman-owned business that focuses on designing, integrating, managing and adapting supply chain solutions. Our capabilities as a Lead Logistics Partner (LLP) and third-party provider (3PL) include supply chain analysis and design, network optimization and management, Logistics Center management, transportation management and consolidation, business process integration, supply chain visibility, and value-added services.
At DSC, we know that as large companies increase their focus on reflecting the diverse nature of employees and customers they’re developing products for more diverse customer tastes and cultures and they’re recruiting and adapting the work environment to accommodate more cultures. They’re also implementing Supplier Diversity Programs that establish targets, usually defined in terms of procurement spending, for women- and minority-owned suppliers. Investing in diverse suppliers will not only achieve a company’s diversity objectives but may provide tangible benefits to the bottom line.
DSC has been woman-owned for almost 20 years, and WBENC certified for over five years. DSC serves many Fortune 500 companies, including Kellogg, Altria and Cardinal Health, who recognize supplier diversity as an important part of their culture. In addition to choosing DSC as their supply chain partner based on our strengths and capabilities, the fact that we are WBENC certified helps honor their diversity commitment.
Our nationwide network with more than 40 locations means that opportunities are not limited to a specific region. Because DSC’s annual contract values are substantial, ranging from $2m to $60m, there is a significant impact on our customers’ Supplier Diversity programs. For example, DSC is Kellogg’s #1 WBE Supplier and #2 Diverse Supplier. In addition to assisting our customers with their Tier 1 diversity programs, we are also proactive in working with our customers on their Tier 2 diversity programs for large retailers such as Wal-Mart.
