DSC leads Sourcing & Supplier Management Track at CSCMP
Kevin Coleman, DSC’s VP, Customer Solutions, is chairing the Sourcing and Supplier Management track at the annual conference of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), September 24-27, in San Diego.
Kevin has worked with co-chair Kelly Marie Halloran, Licensed Customs Broker, North America Logistics Group Leader, Amway, to build the track’s six sessions exploring how leading procurement organizations are collaborating across internal and external organizations to achieve business objectives.
"We structured this track to start at a broad level from a strategic organizational context," explains Kevin. “Then, each session gets more and more specific and actionable. Attendees will walk away with ideas that they can experiment with in their own business settings."
"We wanted the sessions to be applicable to a wide audience," says Kelly. "Really any area or business that interfaces with the procurement discipline has something to gain through this content."
In the session, “The New Age of Sourcing & Procurement,” sourcing leaders from Pharmavite, McDonald’s and R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. will discuss emerging strategies. A representative of Ernst & Young LLP will moderate the panel. (Monday, September 28, 10:30 am – 11:45 am, Room 8)
In “The Procurement-Operations Dynamic: What’s New and Next,” operations and procurement leaders from McCormick will share how they are collaborating to drive overall company performance. ULTA Beauty’s Director of Supply Chain Logistics will lead the discussion. (Monday, September 28, 2:00 pm – 3:15 pm, Room 8)
