CEO Ann Drake to appear on two panels at CSCMP conference

DSC CEO Ann Drake will participate in two sessions at the Annual Conference of the Council of Supply Chain Professionals (CSCMP) September 27-30 in San Diego, California.

On Monday, September 28, 10:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m., Ann will join Debbie Lentz, SVP, Chief Supply Chain Officer, Toys“R”Us, Kathy Wengel, VP, Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain, and Laurel L. Junk, Chief Supply Chain and Procurement Officer, Enterprise Shared Services, Kaiser Permanente, in a session entitled “Women in the C-Suite: Leadership Lessons from the Top,to share perspectives on skills required for success in the C-Suite. They will discuss challenges uniquely faced by women as they progress to senior levels and common misconceptions and real barriers that prevent both men and women from achieving their full leadership potential. Dr. Nancy Nix, Executive Director of AWESOME, will moderate the session.

In the session, “If I Knew Then What I Know Now,” Ann and leaders from Tranzact Technologies Inc, Hallmark Cards Inc and the University of San Diego Supply Chain Management Institute will share leadership reflections. This panel of emerging and distinguished leaders is part of the “Leadership at the C-Level” track in “Cornerstone II: Leadership, Talent and Career” and is scheduled for Monday, September 28, 2:00 - 3:15 p.m.

Also, Ann Drake will present the 2015 Thinkers & Movers Award to Mike Duffy, President, Medical Consumables, Cardinal Health, and Kathy Wengel, Vice President, Supply Chain, Johnson & Johnson, at a special reception on Monday, September 28, in conjunction with the CSCMP conference. The Thinkers & Movers award is an industry-wide award established in 2009 by DSC Logistics to recognize individuals whose innovative leadership has significantly impacted supply chain thinking and practices. Since 2009, the Thinkers & Movers Award has been presented to outstanding practitioners, leaders and educators who have moved the supply chain field forward in significant ways.
