Ann Drake's DSC Logistics hosts 2015 Partner Summit on “The Power of Influence”

Ann Drake, CEO, DSC Logistics, hosted DSC's seventh annual Partner Summit in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, July 15-16. The theme of the Summit was “The Power of Influence: Getting Things Done Across Boundaries & Barriers.”

At the 2015 Summit, DSC top management and supply chain leaders from some of DSC’s key customers discussed the influencing power that supply chain organizations can leverage – both internally and externally – to tackle projects that improve organizational performance, drive business value and enable the US logistics infrastructure to support future competitiveness on a global scale.

Peter Skosey, Executive Vice President, Metropolitan Planning Council, spoke to the Summit participants on “Influencing Decision Makers: America’s Crumbling Infrastructure,” and they received copies of Move: Putting America’s Infrastructure Back in the Leadby Rosabeth Moss Kanter, Professor of Business Administration, Harvard Business School.

Customer presentations on “Influencing Up and Out” and collaborative conversations addressed how supply chain organizations in a variety of industries are gaining ground in influencing the C-level and other functional areas to support initiatives that improve overall company performance.

In their session, “Increasing Influence, Increasing Power,” guest speakers Dr. Gloria Donaldson, Corporate Psychologist, Reed Organization, and Donna de St. Aubin, Principal, St. Aubin, Haggerty & Associates, explored the essential elements of power and influence in different organizational contexts in today's dynamic business environment where the ability to influence and get things done outside of traditional reporting lines is increasingly important.

DSC established the Partner Summit Series in 2009 as a forum for participants to network with peers, gain new perspectives and exchange ideas, with the goal of advancing supply chain efficiency and creativity.
