Media Executive Joins DSC Logistics Advisory Board

Chicago, Illinois (June 23, 2011) – DSC Logistics, an integrated logistics and supply chain management company headquartered in Des Plaines, Illinois, announced that Joanna Drake Earl has joined the company’s Advisory Board. Joanna Drake Earl is Chief Strategy Officer of Current TV, the media company founded by former Vice President Al Gore and businessman Joel Hyatt. Her responsibilities at Current include overseeing Corporate Strategy and Planning, Digital, International Operations, and Human Resources.

Joanna was the first executive to join the founders of what is now the fastest growing cable and satellite network in the industry. In her original role as President of Strategy and New Media, Joanna oversaw the architecture, creation and management of Current's leading web-based participation platform. From 2008 until 2010, she served as Chief Operating Officer and was responsible for Corporate Strategy and Business Development, Marketing, Distribution, and International Operations.

Before joining Current, Joanna was vice president, Content Strategy for MOXI (now Diego) and earlier, she served as vice president, Media Partnerships and Applications, at ReacTV in Silicon Valley. She also has worked as a senior management consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton, developing strategic planning functions and market strategies for the motion picture, television and theme park divisions of leading entertainment conglomerates.

Joanna was recently named one of the Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business for 2011 by the San Francisco Business Times. Joanna graduated with a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and an M.A. from Stanford University.
