DSC’s ninth annual Partner Summit will explore “Whole-Brain Supply Chain Thinking,” honor 2017 Thinkers & Movers award recipients

DSC Logistics’ top management and supply chain leaders from some of DSC’s key customers will explore the theme of “Whole-Brain Supply Chain Thinking” at DSC’s 2017 Partner Summit, to be held July 19-20 at Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

The Summit will also include recognition of the 2017 Thinkers & Movers Honorees: Brian Hancock, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, The Kansas City Southern Railway Company, and Heather Sheehan, Director, Member Engagement & Sponsorships, AWESOME.

As guest speakers, Brian will offer a unique cross-industry perspective about how supply chain thinking has evolved over time, and Heather will share experiences and advice related to balancing analytics and execution with creativity and innovation.

A panel of DSC customer supply chain leaders will discuss general trends in the business landscape that are making an interdisciplinary approach more important. They will address how the business environment is creating a need for more holistic, intuitive thinking, and how this impacts collaboration with other functional areas, processes and talent needs.

DSC’s VP of Human Resources Kate Daly will interview experts in staffing and recruitment to discuss workforce trends and strategies for recruiting, coaching and retaining whole-brain thinkers.

DSC’s Senior Vice President of Customer Solutions Kevin Coleman and Colliers International commercial real estate experts will discuss how short and long term thinking are impacting business network trends. The real estate professionals will share insights into marketplace behavior related to network planning and location selection.

Kevin Glynn, DSC's CIO will discuss emerging trends and innovations in technology and lead an interactive discussion on their applicability to near and longterm supply chain solutions.

DSC's Partner Summit serves as a forum for participants to network with peers, gain new perspectives and exchange ideas in the spirit of advancing collaboration, transformation and leadership in supply chain management.

DSC established the Thinkers & Movers award in 2009 to recognize individuals and companies whose innovative leadership has resulted in groundbreaking supply chain understanding and practices. Since then, the award has been presented to outstanding practitioners and educators who’ve impacted and led our field in various ways.
